OUR STORY BEGINS
Beginnings in the Sahara
When the Sahara Desert of Morocco — especially the golden Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga — began attracting travelers from around the world, a humble Berber farmer and father of two decided to purchase a 4×4 vehicle with two of his friends. As a result, he could welcome visitors and show them the most beautiful places in the desert he called home.
Growing Up with Tourism
Over time, big things grew from small beginnings. While his children were growing up, they worked in local desert camps and hotels, where they not only gained experience but also learned their first words of English, Spanish, and French from the travelers they met. At that time, most tour companies in Morocco were foreign-owned. Therefore, the two brothers were inspired to create a local, family-run operator that could share real Moroccan culture.
Learning and Overcoming Challenges
However, they soon realized their English was not strong enough. Because of this, they decided to study intensively. Eventually, after years of dedication, they became fluent in English and ready to share their heritage with the world. Consequently, from that dream, Treck To Morocco was born.
